My ‘ragdoll’ pretty much spent it’s raggedy life on a shelf (I drove my parents to distraction operating on my dolls and crashing cars into army men). Never, in my wildest imagination, did I ever expect to see ragdolls committing homicide, cooking a cannibal casserole, playing volleyball, torturing other ragdolls or playing pirate ragdoll! I mean really… THEY’RE RAGDOLLS! (Then again, my Chatty Cathy doll could talk without moving her mouth so who am I to judge?) Violence and bloodshed seemed to be the recurring theme in most of these; some even warn you of extreme gore.

That’s How You “Play” the Game?

Whereas there were ragdoll games that you actually had to “play”, i.e. volleyball, tennis, soccer, dirt biking, driving an army tank and car racing; more often than not you basically had to click and watch. Skeletons cascading over jack-o-lanterns, stick figures being gassed, shot, chain sawed, etc. I tried a number of them. The figures that actually played were hard to control (as I suppose they would be) but the click and watch were boring in a sick, twisted and kind of cool way. (Then again, I’m sort of into gore.)
Well, I must say, this has been an education. I had no idea that ragdolls were so busy__ and so nasty! The only correlation I can make between these online ragdolls and the real thing is that they’re both pretty easily tossed around (albeit with very different outcomes) and there really isn’t a whole heck of a lot you can actually DO with them. (Then again, maybe I’m over thinking this.)
