Wilmington has lots of exciting events. Riverfest and the Azalea Festival this are only the two of the largest multi-cultural events of the year with parades and street fairs including music, art, and other entertainment on the waterfront of the Cape Fear River. These events draw thousand of local and visitors that want to spend there weekends under the sun.
Wilmington also celebrates by Fourth of July, and it’s also a big event every year with a street fair and an amazing fireworks display.
And that’s not only. They still have lots of events more than that.
Cucalorus Film Festival is creating creative exploration of the artform. Its takes place in the historic port city of Wilmington, North Carolina, which is also one of the leading film production locations in the country and home to EUE Screen Gems Studios. It screens a little bit of everything.
Wilmington Exchange Festival is a multi-day, completely DIY, volunteer-run extravaganza that showcases indie bands, and has always taken place the week of Memorial Day weekend.
Wrightsville Beach’s Lumina Daze is a celebration of the 1930’s era of Wrightsville Beach, its remembering the heyday of Lumina Pavilion. Activities this year run the gamut from old-time games, barbershop singing, and face painting.
Aside from that Wilmington also boast a professional soccer teams, semi pro baseball team and pro baseball team.
All of which capture the energy and vitality of this cultural Mecca. In addition this area boasts the largest Independence day celebration in the state.
